Pingtung County Groundwater Contaminated by Chlorine Contaminated Areas Investigation and Evaluation Project
Absrtact |
The project has established a conceptual site model based on the supplementary survey of soils, groundwater, and contaminations. The results reveals that the upstream of the site, 80 meters below the ground surface, is the first aquifer where rocks composition are mainly gravel and sand with silt or silty sand. In the middle and lower area of the site, 77 and 105 meters below the ground surface, the rocks composition is in a low-permeability formation, where is a small amount of brown clay with a small amount of gravel sand. The overall aquifer geological permeability tends to decrease slightly from upstream to downstream.
